Privacy Policy

Information stored and synced by the app

SteadySteps stores learner profile names, avatars, grade level, answers, practice history, and progress summaries locally so practice remains available offline. On Apple devices, iCloud can privately sync profile and math-progress data between devices signed in to the same Apple account. On Android, Android's system-managed backup may restore a sanitized copy after an app reinstall or while setting up another Android device. Android backup is not live sync between two active devices, and Apple and Android progress do not sync with each other.

GOOD GUYS LABS LLC does not operate a learner-data server and does not receive or use the platform-private copy. Apple or Android processes that copy under the parent’s platform account and device settings. Reminder preferences and the question currently shown on screen are not included in progress sync.

Accounts and subscriptions

The app does not require a SteadySteps account, classroom code, or web login. Apple or Google processes purchases, restores, refunds, and subscription status. The applicable store shows the localized price and any eligible offer terms before confirmation. Apple also processes Apple offer-code redemption. GOOD GUYS LABS LLC does not receive your platform-account password or payment-card details.

Public website

This public website has no account system, forms, advertising, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics. The hosting and network providers may process ordinary request information, such as an IP address, requested URL, timestamp, browser information, and security signals, to deliver and protect the site. The website does not provide access to the separate web app at app.trysteadysteps.com or change that app’s access policy.

Email you choose to send

If you email [email protected] or [email protected], we receive your email address and the information you voluntarily include so we can respond or review your feedback. Do not send a child’s full name, school, learning records, progress PDF, passwords, payment-card details, or purchase receipt.

Analytics, advertising, and sales of data

The SteadySteps app does not include third-party advertising, analytics, or ad tracking. GOOD GUYS LABS LLC does not sell personal data through SteadySteps. Platform providers may process subscription and parent-enabled sync data as described above.

Progress PDF sharing

Progress PDFs are created locally. A PDF leaves the device only when an adult opens the system share sheet and chooses a destination. GOOD GUYS LABS LLC does not receive the PDF unless the adult deliberately sends it to us.

Children’s privacy

SteadySteps is intended for use with parent or guardian involvement. Practice information remains available locally. Platform-private continuity, when available, is described above. It can also leave the device when an adult deliberately shares a progress PDF or voluntarily includes information in an email. Please keep child-identifying information out of support and feedback email.

Your choices

You can turn off progress sync and use the in-app control to delete the cloud copy. You can remove a learner’s practice data by deleting that profile in the app and remove remaining local app data by deleting the app, subject to platform backup behavior. You may ask us to delete a support or feedback email by contacting [email protected]; we may retain limited records where required for security, legal, or operational reasons.
